Java Bootcamp Graduation
After 4 weeks of Java SE training and 2 weeks of Java EE training, my batch finally graduated last March 22! It was a total of 6 weeks of brain-squeezing discussions and activities. Well, it was worth it, though I didn’t understand certain topics. Haha! :P
We had free lunch that day! And we had a little graduation activity in the afternoon. :)

Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. Appreciation Night
Watching the video above made me miss my early years with CBSi — 2009 and 2010 specifically. I attended a lot of events during that time and of course, all the experiences I had were totally worthwhile. I actually wish I could bring back those moments with my friends but since that’s quite impossible (for now?), moving forward, I’m just hoping I could do more fun stuff with them and the new ones (since my time). :)

Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. Celebrates 5 Years
February 14, 2013 is not just Valentine’s Day — it’s also the day CBSi turns 5 years old. To celebrate, CBSi will hold an Appreciation Night in Harolds Hotel, Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City on February 15.
Cebu Bloggers Society was founded in 2008, and I joined the group by 2009, so I can pretty much say the group was still so young and fresh (and I was still a student back then). I joined a lot of events during my first 2 years (you can’t find anything from those years here; those were my WordPress days), then I somewhat went off the radar when I graduated from college. But I didn’t quit, though. I was just inactive. Anyway, after 5 years’ worth of activities and involvements, CBSi has grown to become Cebu’s premier and respected blogging organization. Through this Appreciation Night, CBSi will recognize members and partners who have made significant contributions to the organization. And after this, I look to a year of ACTNow-fueled fulfillment with high hopes and enthusiasm! :)

Celebrating High Performance to the Sinulog Beat!
Since I’ve only joined Accenture last May 2012, I wasn’t able to join their Sinulog hype last year, but I was a witness, though — 200+ employees in white shirt and red bandana having a pep rally at the Fuente Osmeña Circle with the USC Commerce Cheerdance Team and FEU Cheering Squad (not minding the stubs of cigars on the streets). This year, it got a whole lot better, and I was part of it — 500+ employees in 5 bright colors performing the Accenture Beat along Osmeña Boulevard with the UP Pep Squad! :D

Sun Cellular Deals
Just recently, Sun Cellular concocted a new promo they call the Sundroid Rush, a postpaid offer combining an Android smartphone and tablet. These Android-based gadgets come for free in two bundles — Plan 600, which includes an Alcatel Glory X918N and an Alcatel One Touch Tab T10, and Plan 999, which includes a Samsung Galaxy Y and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 WiFi. This kind of offering would’ve been so enticing to me if I only had the need for a new Android gadget and the urge to change my Sun Cellular prepaid SIM. But for those who are just planning to make an entry into the Android world (or would just like to own fresh gadgets), these plans would be an incredible way to equip yourself. :)
