  2. Be Bold: My Goals for 2013

    I know it’s already halfway through the first month of 2013, but I’ve encountered a number of things lately that got me thinking real deep. I do experience this kind of ecstasy before but it usually fades after some time. But this time, I know it’s gonna be different ‘coz I feel this burning passion to achieve a lot this year. I won’t speak really big, like buying a car or traveling abroad. I am aiming for the little fun things. So here are my goals for this year:

    Blogging/Writing

    • Blog at least 50 meaty entries.
    • Complete at least 3 solo blogging projects and 3 collaborations.

    Reading

    • Read at least 10 books.
    • Finish the Bible.

    Travel

    • Travel to at least 5 places outside mainland Cebu.
    • Travel to at least 5 new places within mainland Cebu.

    Sports

    • Be good in bowling. Achieve at least 3 strikes per game.

  3. Hello, 2013! Pleased to meet you! :D

    2012 was a tough year for me, but in a good way (you can read my year-end entry for a summary of experiences). I was challenged so many times, I cried over swirling emotions, I laughed about corny and really funny stories, I gained a lot of new friends (new job, baby!), I’ve gone to a lot of places outside my zone for adventures, I acquired a number of gadgets (hehe), etc. The whole year is too big to fit into one post, but I guess the word that best describes 2012 is challenging — physically, mentally, and emotionally. I didn’t think I was too ready, but I braced myself. And I’m thankful for it ‘coz I came out alive and stronger, and I learned. :)

    This 2013, I know the challenges won’t go away, more would come, but I’m getting ready for it. I know all it takes to face it is focus, patience, perseverance, trust, and.. yeah, maybe all the great virtues. :P

    One thing I would like to tell myself over and over again this year is to live in the present and all else will follow. Whatever the horoscope might say about my sign for this year, I’ll just do what it takes to make this an awesome one. And I know I won’t be able to achieve that without the help of my friends, family, and Mumu. Bwahaha! ;)
