Checkered
The whole day today, we had our ME/IE Research Forum.
It was okay. There were a couple of things I didn’t like about the event, though:
Filipino time. No explanation needed.
Things were not so organized and systematic. It wasn’t done the IE way.
Some of the topics discussed were not understandable. I mean for most of us, maybe.
But there were still good things that happened to make up for it:
Aimee, Shalee, Leslie, and I were wearing checkered polo as planned!
Our lunch was awesome!
Pero nakakakonsensiya kasi it’s Friday. And we all know it’s the Lenten Season already.
We had morning and afternoon snacks! Nasobrahan yata kami sa pagkain this day.
And I was able to vote sa Supreme Student Council elections namin. Muntik na akong ‘di nakaboto ‘coz my name wasn’t in the list sa special precinct namin sa CAFA building. Nasa Engineering building lang pala. Hmph.
I didn’t want to miss kasi I’ve been voting since first year college eh.

Still Some Fun
Last week, we were so busy. But it was an awesome one because we had so much fun!
This week, we still had fun! Milagro nga kasi we were so lax naman. Hahaha.
Tuesday. We had IE Sports Fest ’09, an interschool activity for all the Industrial Engineering students in Cebu. Cebu State College of Science and Technology (CSCST) was the host. The participants were the host (CSCST), University of San Carlos (USC), University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJR), University of the Visayas (UV), Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT), Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), and University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu-Mandaue (UCLM).
Though USC (our school) didn’t have participants for the cheering competition and didn’t do well in the fun (parlor) games and amazing race, we still won as over-all First Runner-Up because we were the champions in Volleyball and Badminton and 2nd placer in Basketball! Ang galing! Hahahaha!
Me, Shalee, Ainee, & Aimee. Dala-dala lang namin ang certificates, trophy, and banner.

Industrial Engineering
Note: This is a long entry. It’s been an update-free week last week so I have to make up for it.
It’s not easy being a student of that course. We’ve been through a lot already. It’s been hell for us.
But it’s not all negative anyway. Last week, we had so much activities that got us all tired in the end.
Hahaha. But all the effort was worth it.
After all the stressful preparations, we finally opened the IE Week last Wednesday. Sadly, ribbon-cutting lang inabutan namin ni Shalee ‘coz we were running an errand for the IE Council before that.
Hehehe. But seeing the tarps that I made for the event made up for it. Nyahahaha.

Me with the main tarp.
