What My Vote is Worth

Written on April 24, 2010 by Mikyu.

Dear Presidentiables and Vice-Presidentiables,

MY VOTE IS FOR SALE! :moneybag:

But I don’t want money in exchange for it. All I’m asking for is your ability and credibility to make the Philippines a place worth living in. Show me what you’ve got, and you win my precious vote.

Sincerely yours,
Juan de la Cruz :pinas:

Hidden Valley Mountain Resort

Written on April 18, 2010 by Mikyu.

Note: Pictures in this post are not mine. They’re owned by Wantet. :smile2:

This April 24-25, 2010, the Cebu Bloggers Society and Tsinelas Association are one in conducting a computer literacy program for the students of Lut-od High School in Pinamungajan, Cebu. I’m one of the volunteers. I’ll post more about this when the activity is done. Exciting! :D

Anyway, I got really excited when I got the news that we will be staying at the Hidden Valley Resort. It’s located in Lamac, Pinamungajan, Cebu. =D I’ve already heard about this resort from my friend, Shalee. They were there last summer, and all she could say were praises and appreciations of the place!

A lot of adversities have happened as a result of a corrupt government and unclean system. As part of the continuous effort to make a change and include God in political decisions, the Vote God campaign has been established.

VOTE GOD is a faith-impelled advocacy which hopes to infuse the electoral process with Christian values and for the discerning bloc to muster enough moral courage to choose good over evil, even the lesser evil, during the elections.

More concretely, it is to reject the culture of the buying and selling of votes and its variations as well as choose the God-fearing leader using the LASER test. LASER means Lifestyle, Action, Supporters, Election Conduct, and Reputation. In simple terms, the LASER test is one way to evaluate each of the candidates running for specific positions, and assess whether they are right for that position or not.
