A Wild Christmas Party
Wild here is not what you’re thinking about. Or so I think.
The party we had last December 17, 2010 was D’ Hacienderas’ 4th Christmas celebration. Check out our parties last 2007, 2008, and 2009.
I was glad our plan pushed through! Or most of it, at least.
We met at Red Box, Ayala at around 3pm ‘coz it’s the start of their Happy Hour. As soon as we got to our room, we wasted no time and started the videoke/karaoke session immediately!
We chose almost all the songs in the top picks to save time. They were very much singable anyway!

Cebu Bloggers Society’s Caroling and Gift Giving Event for Christmas
Christmas is just around the corner, and instead of having a party for ourselves, the Cebu Bloggers Society has an event at hand to share the joys to those who most need it.
Christmas is a time for joyful celebrations among friends and families. But how can one celebrate Christmas if he has recently experienced a heartbreaking event? Would he even be able to smile at a crowd?
On the first week of November this year, 213 families were struck by a fire accident in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City. They lost their homes and most of what they own. Until now, those families are struggling to bring back the lives they once had.

DePuy Hip Replacement Lawsuit
DePuy is a franchise of orthopaedic and neuroscience companies. It was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 1998. They design, manufacture, market, and distribute products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints and for repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries. (Wikipedia)
For a company that has a prestigious image (J&J), I wasn’t expecting that there is a considerable number of instances wherein products that they manufacture actually get recalled because of defectiveness. Well, they do happen. A case in point is DePuy’s hip replacement system (devices). When it comes to matters of the body, I don’t think it can be taken up lightly because body parts are very delicate. In this case, it’s not only the bones that are affected. When the components of the devices used in hip replacement come loose, metal fragments are deposited in the bloodstream. Pseudotumors could also appear.
