A Place for Mom
My mom is old but she’s not yet a senior citizen (someone who’s already retired or over the retirement age), so I won’t write about her. Hahaha.
I know I’m far from being a senior citizen, but when one day I’ll be one already, I would like to receive the same amount of care I had when I was a child. Not that I would like to be treated like a baby, though. Just the same degree would do. I’m a Filipino, and I know my future family would still take care of me even though I’m old already. I don’t think they’d try to look for a place for me at aplaceformom.com. It’s what’s happening in other countries. I don’t find it that revolting, but coming from a country where close family ties are ingrained in the culture, I don’t quite get the logic of that.
But anyway, what’s really important is for someone to still take care of you when you just can’t do it for yourself anymore.
Don’t Run – Face It!
My Christmas post last year, I admit, is quite dramatic.
And I understand what I’ve gone through during those times. It’s a natural self-understanding, right?
I still have some “drama” this year (the definition is up to you), but I’ll spare that for my New Year post. Heee~

Strengthening Youth Engagement in Social Development

Day 1 – December 18, 2010
The event was going to happen in Genesis Valley, Cabangahan, Consolacion. Since I live in this town, I didn’t meet with the rest of the delegates in the city; I went ahead to the place.
When I got there, I didn’t see anyone other than the guard. Apparently, I was a little too early.
I strolled around to appreciate the beauty of the place because it was indeed beautiful — very scenic. The delegates came pouring in some time later. After the registration, we had some getting-to-know-you activities/games besides the usual introduce-yourself-to-the-crowd.
