2010 – The Year That Was
Boring title, yeah. Lemme share my year-end entries for the past 2 years:
2008 – The Year That Was
2009 – The Year That Was
Edit: I just found out that I also wrote a 2007 year-end blog! The Multiply days!
I’m really into standardization of post titles so please bear with it.
Anyway, whew! It’s the end of 2010 already? The clock is ticking real fast these days, huh? Just like a Tiger?
I still remember our Feasibility Study days. They happened a long time ago (not that long, though), but I can’t seem to believe it’s been a year already!
A year from now, I know I’ll be saying the same things again. Haha.
2010 is not as adventurous as 2009. Nevertheless, a lot of things made me happy this year. Ready? (Click the pics to enlarge.)

The Youth Declaration
We, the Emerging Pinoy Leaders of Cebu, hereby declare the following:
Whereas, we envision a sustainable, livable and prosperous Philippines that fosters social equity, economic prosperity and environmental sustainability;
Whereas, we want to see a society that promotes and practices:
- moral, ethical and God-centered values;
- self-reliance and social well-being;
- ecological awareness and concern;
- accessible quality education for all;
- healthy living and access to quality public health care;
- participatory governance with leaders who are not only competent but also committed to practicing a system of transparency and accountability, equal opportunities and fair services to the people;
Whereas, we recognize that the government has a role to play in addressing development problems in the Philippines and requires vital partnership with and active participation of civil society and the private sector;
Whereas, we aim for the Cebuano youth to have a greater sense of social concern through responsible and accountable leadership, pro-active citizenship and volunteerism, practice of excellence and upholding moral values.
Online Colleges
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had my education in school, with the four concrete walls of the classroom surrounding me. I didn’t have a problem with it, actually. I even found it very effective. I don’t have any regrets regarding my schooling. But thinking about how busy people are already now, especially the professionals, it seems that education in the classroom is something that needs to be thought about deeply.
If you’re working and going to school at the same time, transportation is such a waste. Also, it’s hard trying to adjust your schedule to fit your school needs. Why not let your school needs adjust to your almost jam-packed schedule? For that, there are online colleges available. It’s not just about the basics. You can choose a degree in which to enroll. With online classes, you won’t have to drop everything you’re already attending to just to get more education.
I’m not really sure how effective this kind of set-up works, but I sure wanna know if it’s worth it. Maybe I’ll try this one someday when I’ll be working already.
