Midterms week is finally over! Raise the roof! Ironically, I’m not too happy about it. Not because I don’t want hell week to end but because the exams we had were discouraging. I don’t think I did that bad, though. I just didn’t do my best. I didn’t drown myself in books and notebooks — I was floating in it. Nyahahaha. ‘Coz as I was trying to internalize what I had reviewed, I was busy doing my stuff online. Yes, I’m an internet addict. And I’d rather Plurk than study myself to sleep.
Another thing, we’re still not over with our acquaintance party concerns. Instead of getting excited about it, I’m kind of dreading it already. Hahaha. August 22, you better be over soon! Nyahahahaha. And yeah, I still haven’t posted the next episodes of the Mikyu Deciphered series. Were we too busy to ask the questions? Or just too lazy?
To prevent my mind from dwelling on those stressful thoughts, I have been enjoying myself with the company of D’ Hacienderas and the Cebu Bloggers Society. When I’m with them, it’s like all the problems in the world fear me, maintaining distance. Nyahahahahaha. Shet. But the happenings are gonna be reserved for the next post.
Anyway, I really just wanted to share this wonderful video made by my dear friend, Jessa. It’s actually the second compilation that she made for D’ Hacienderas (the first one is here). Let’s all reminisce the Sumilon experience!
My mind was constantly in motion last Friday. Not literally, though, else, you would’ve seen my head shake. For one, we had 2 exams that day. But we just studied for the major one because we’ve already reviewed for the other last week. During our breaks, we were facing our books. Good thing it didn’t look like a Chinese book to me anymore. The topic was pretty self-explanatory, so skimming was a reasonable approach (I was able to read the whole chapter the previous day anyway). During our 4-hour break, however, I wasn’t concentrating on my book anymore because we (IE Council) had another meeting regarding our upcoming Acquaintance Party. Most of the concerns were addressed but there were still a couple of things that need to be ironed out. Good luck! Then we had the exam for our last major subject for the day. It was okay. Hehehe.
After talking with my friends and settling some things, I then changed into casual attire and went to UP Cebu with Jorich. Our friends Bryan (UPian), Jessa, and Tianexx were already there. And the party started! Nyahahaha. We were actually there for the UP Cookout ’09 with the theme MOVE UP (Friday night until Saturday early morning). Kantahan , Sayawan , Bandahan , Rampahan . Need I say more?
My Saturday wouldn’t have been that superb if it wasn’t for my extraordinary experience in Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort with the Cebu Bloggers Society! At first, I thought I wouldn’t be able to join this activity since it was originally scheduled on July 25 and it was my mom’s birthday, which I couldn’t miss. I also had an important meeting that day so I had no hope. But I was filled with excitement when the tour was postponed! The Lord really loves me! Weeeee!
I know everybody was up early because we weren’t late for our rendezvous — 6am at SM City Cebu. Oh hail the exhilaration! As soon as everyone and everything was in place, off we went on the 3 vans. We knew it was going to be a long journey. Some time later, we stopped over at Jollibee, Carcar to have some breakfast, care of Kuya Ruben (he prefers to be called “kuya” than “sir”). You could always expect a lot of chitchats when the CBS people are together! After the meal, we continued on our journey. I wasn’t totally aware of what was happening in our van afterwards since I already fell asleep (but I was still conscious of my surroundings that time). All I knew was that my friends (Aimee, Jessa, Shalee, AJ, and Mark) continued their funny talks. I woke up when I realized my head was banging on the window of the van already! Hahaha. I enjoyed the view of the places away from the city. Finally, after about 3 hours, we reached our destination. We proceeded to the island on a pump boat. It was an adventurous ride since the waves were alive! We had a wet look when we reached the island after 15 minutes. We were warmly welcomed by the staff of Sumilon Bluewater, especially the resident manager, Mr. Greg Perral. He oriented us with some facts about Sumilon while we had our snack of fries and sandwiches at the pavilion/restaurant.
