When Push Comes to Shove
A blogger without a blog is like a gunman without a gun. Duh.
This blog has been down for three days (Feb. 26-28), and I didn’t receive any notification from our host prior to the downtime. I just found out later on that the owner has been MIA since last year and she wasn’t able to pay the dues (literally), hence the server disablement.
Luckily, Luana was there to help us out. Thank you very much! And to bes April, too!
I didn’t have any database back-up in hand, so the effort really meant a lot to me! I decided to move to hexsolutions.net after backing up my files and database. Goodbye, old host!
Anyway, last week has been pretty good for me and my friends. That’s basically because, in my case, my hopes were pushed to the bottom of the pit but were rescued by the resounding statement that came from the mouth of an angel.
Of course, I’m exaggerating. Hehe. But honestly, that’s how I kinda felt last February 24, 2011.

That was the day of our thesis presentation and oral defense.
I actually didn’t have butterflies in my stomach. The presentation went well. But when the moment of the oral defense came, I got nervous.
Standing in front of a panel of experts (our professors) wasn’t that easy. Questions were thrown, and though we were able to give answers (correct or not, haha), I didn’t think we satisfied them. That’s when I was so sure our thesis was less than adequate.
After the oral defense was the deliberation where we left the room and spent time harvesting sorrows (or at least I did). Then we were called back for the results — moment of truth.
The chair of the panel was the one who announced the results. And as if I didn’t hear his words clearly and correctly, I asked my thesis mate for confirmation.
Sir Mayo: Your grade falls under satisfactory.
Me (surprised) to Suyin: Satisfactory ta?!
Another panel member confirmed, and though it didn’t totally sink in yet, I was figuratively jumping for joy! OMG! WE DID IT! VICTORY IS FINALLY OURS!
During the days that followed, I was on a high! And so were Aimee, Shalee, and Leslie ‘coz they also got a satisfactory grade! Weeeee! We’re so victorious!

God is really good! THANK YOU SO MUCH, LORD!
Now, I can really feel that this is it! Counting the days till March 25, 2011! Hahaha, I sound so confident! No jinxing please!
PS New theme! Got this from Padd Solutions and did an overhaul. Or not really. Hehe. Welcome back, iFancy.Me!
