Blast at 21
Note: Photo dump ahead!
I’ve mentioned in one of my tweets last June/July that I wish to have a happy 2nd half of the year — happy semester, happy birthday, happy Christmas, and happy start of the new year. The first two have been achieved!
The last time I celebrated my birthday joyfully was last 2008, during my 19th birthday. I was with D’ Hacienderas then at Blue Reef.
Last year, it’s not that my 20th birthday was sorrowful. It just wasn’t good enough for me.
It was the only year, too, that none of us (Hacienderas) celebrated our birthdays with the group. But anyway, we’re all done with that. And I’m sooo happy that my 21st birthday has been totally awesome!
See my friends’ advance birthday treat for me.
Day 1 – November 27, 2010
Jessa, Shalee, Leslie, Suyin, Maidee, Jeff, Careby, and I went to Cebu Hidden Paradise Mountain Resort as planned.
After settling down, the 2 couples (JefLes & KerbYin) grilled the pork while Jessa, Shalee, and I played Uno (Maidee was our photographer).

It wasn’t long before the couples finished the grilling, and we all went touring around the place. Since no one was around to take pictures of us, we just used the cam’s timer! Muhaha!

After the tour, we took a dip in the pool. Yehey!
We also made use of the one and only cute slide we saw. Haha, that was funny.

We then had dinner after all the laughters at the pool. I love our food!

This is the part where they sang a birthday song for me. Aaawww!
I guess I’ll be uploading some videos soon. Hehe. Games followed after nomnoming!

Team Win (above) and Team Lose (below). The teams’ names are just based on the bato-bato-pick results. Hehe.

Charades wherein Team Lose won.

Pinoy Henyo wherein Team Win won.

With the girls.
Those two games had us laughing our heads off because of the hilarious terms used!
We played more games at the pool — the snake game, tag, dare-or-dare (haha, no truths)… We didn’t even have pictures because nobody went out of the pool! Hahaha.
The couples and Shalee went back to our room when we were done; Jessa, Maidee, and I stayed behind and talked away. Girl talks lasted until we finally went to sleep.
Day 2 – November 28, 2010
First thing we did when we woke up was take a dip in the pool again! Para sulit! Hahaha.
We then had our brunch, then we played 1, 2, 3, Pass! — with powdered charcoal!

We were all losers in the end.

During my 19th birthday (left), I actually didn’t lose a round. I guess it was unfair (haha), so I/they placed some powdered charcoal on my face. On my 21st birthday (right), I lost one round because I was busy laughing at my own stupid move!
After that, the adventures began! My favorite part!

Zip Splash! The zipping part was pretty easy. It was the dropping/splashing part that made me a little scared ‘coz I’m the one supposed to cause my own drop! Haha. It was fascinating, though! I wanna do it again!

Monkey Bridge! Passing on the wire over the pond was also easy.
Before leaving the pool, I satisfied my own craving to dive even once! It wasn’t bad!
My attempts turned out to be some flips. Wow, I’m a stunt woman now?
We then cleaned up our room and ourselves, then we headed back home.
The overnight party was such a blast! We planned 2 weeks ago, and I’m glad it was pursued!
To Jessa, Shalee, Leslie, Suyin, Maidee, Jeff, and Careby, thank you very much for the food and all the stuff you brought!
I’m especially thankful for the company and all the fun you guys made happen!
To Aimee, even though you weren’t there, I still thank you for the greeting at 6:05am! Hmm, hahaha!
Looking forward to our next get-together! I love you all! Hehehe.

I got back to my hometown just in time for the mass.
I’m glad that at home, my mom prepared fruit salad for my birthday while I was away. I also asked for a birthday cake.
Hehe. So…

Triple Decker from Goldilocks and my share of the fruit salad (looks weird, hehe).
Thanks, mom!
Last shout out: To all the people who greeted me a happy birthday via call, via text, via Facebook, via Twitter, via whatever, thank you sooo much!
I really appreciate it! Especially the calls! I got 4 — (1) Sinjin + X + Atty. Ethelbert, (2) Bryan, (3) Mam Dakay + Tata Iain, and (4) Shalee + Ate Orlyn!
The first call was at 12am (I went to sleep a little later).
I woke up at around 5:45am, and went back to sleep around 6:30am. The next 3 calls were my wake up calls then. Hehehe.
