What My Vote is Worth

Dear Presidentiables and Vice-Presidentiables,
MY VOTE IS FOR SALE!
But I don’t want money in exchange for it. All I’m asking for is your ability and credibility to make the Philippines a place worth living in. Show me what you’ve got, and you win my precious vote.
Sincerely yours,
Juan de la Cruz
If everybody just has the dignity to utter those words and mean what he says, then all else shouldn’t be hard. The problem is that some of us are easily swayed by material bribery. Why is that?
Some say it’s practicality, others say it’s just the way things go.
But if you take a look at situations like this, could you really say it’s just human nature? I think not.
People are born with intelligence. We actually have the instinct to choose what’s right, yet we still fall for the wrong one.
Aside from the fact that some politicians buy people’s votes because they want to be sure of the ownership of power and authority, it seems so obvious that the reason they vote-buy is that they’re not confident that they will win the people’s trust, and that they can’t find the most effective way to gain their support.
It’s my first time to vote in a Presidential election this May, and I’m not going to waste it by giving it to someone in exchange for material things. My vote is worth a high score in the LASER test.
I hope you, too, could properly assess the candidates by conducting the LASER test with each of them. And it would be much better if you make the results a basis for the winner of your vote, not the amount of money you receive. Let’s say no to vote buying!

I say no to voting for someone because of what other people say. They do have a point. Pero if in.ana nlang jd, dli kha mg.basol ang mga taw in the future kng mgka.prublima? It’s better to blame oneself sa pgka.palpak sa iyang g.botaran than to regret one’s decision and blame others. Naa ba pud koi point? Hahaha.
