D’ Hacienderas at Don Henrico’s
DH @ DH!
Exactly one year ago, D’ Hacienderas had a Christmas get together at Chika-an. This year (yesterday), we had it at Don Henrico’s.
This was actually a spontaneous plan.
I mean, unlike last year, we didn’t think weeks before of how we would celebrate Christmas with the barkada. We were too preoccupied with school stuff that we didn’t even have time to prepare for other events (makes me sad to think about the supposed-to-be overnight celebration of my birthday++ that didn’t push through).
But no one’s to be blamed. We were all busy and it’s natural to prioritize things with deadlines.
Anyway, after we dealt with some stuff at school, we were starving as it was already 3pm but we haven’t had our lunch yet.
So we went to Ayala and looked for a place to eat and get vain. And an idea came up — Don Henrico’s.
Aimee, Shalee, and I ordered the same meal — Combo 1 which comprised of a slice of Hawaiian Pizza, Chicken Schnitzel, some fries, and spaghetti. And we just had juice (Four Seasons).
Leslie and Jeff came later, and they ordered Spaghetti Bolognese. Jessa also came, and she ordered the Combo 1 meal, too! Hehehe.
Over the meal, we talked about a whole lot of things.
And what’s a Haciendera conversation without corny jokes? We could almost roll on the floor, laughing our asses out! Hahaha.
But of course, the food can’t be forgotten. Big servings make me happy!
Since it’s the Christmas season, and since I love my friends, I gave them my simple gifts.
There’s actually 5 of them, but I already gave Suyin hers since she’s not able to join us here.
Leslie, Jessa, Aimee, and Shalee.
Go on, open them!
Weee! Just simple, right? Too bad I forgot to get myself one. Hehehe.
The crew.
After our simple celebration, we bid each other farewell.
We’re not really sure when we are gonna see each other again. Before this year ends, for our feasibility study? Next year, when classes will resume?
Whenever that is, I’m surely gonna miss my girls! Aaawww.
Yes, I love them like that.
Oh, Jessa and I stayed in Ayala until the evening.
We just talked about a whole lot of random things. And thanks for the Sundae, Es!
Even though we weren’t even half the number we were last year (2008, 14; 2009, 6), I’m still happy that we were able to have a Christmas get together.
Bonding moments are what makes me even more thankful of my friends.
