Imagine a concert of a very popular band, say, Boys Like Girls (I’m biased, yeah), where stanchions and velvet ropes are not put up before the stage. I pretty much guess it would be a riot. People will push their way up the stage and eat the band. That’s how wild I suspect it will be. Scary, huh? Nobody would want that to happen.

How about rallies and protests? If the security personnel won’t put up barricades to keep the people out, they will surely lose.

My point here is that crowd control is important wherever you go. It helps people stay in lines at the bank, for concerts, political events, at the grocery store, and anywhere someone needs an orderly line. If human barricades wouldn’t do (just like what we did years ago during Sinulog), solid and sturdy barriers would be perfect.
