Cebu Bloggers Society Christmas Party 2009
It’s officially Christmas vacation!
And to add to the vacation feel, joyous events came our way.
In the afternoon of December 20, 2009, Sinjin, Mark M., Aika, Jim, and I went to Cebu Parklane International Hotel to watch Stories from the North Pole, a live puppet play of the story of Jesus’ birth with Mrs. Claus as the narrator.
It was an interactive storytelling as kids also shouted answers every time Mrs. Claus asked some! I felt like a kid again!
After the puppet play, there was a raffle draw.
And hoped as I might have, I actually wasn’t surprised when my name wasn’t even one of the winners of some chocolate bars. I don’t have the luck for raffles, really.
There were thirty winners, and Mark M., Aika, and Jim were three of them. Sinjin and I didn’t get anything. Hahaha.
But it was okay. At least we all enjoyed the cuteness of the show.
Everybody sang Feliz Navidad, and of course, to complete the show,
The highlight of my Sunday was the whole night — the Cebu Bloggers Society Christmas Party 2009!
Most of us met at Joven’s Grill, Banilad for our dinner.
It was an eat-all-you-can buffet. The food was okay. At least it filled our growling stomachs. Hahaha.
But the dinner was enjoyable anyway because of the random chitchats and laughter!
It’s not a CBS convention without Guada putting people on the hot seat, Sinjin taking candid shots of people, Mark M. throwing silly jokes, and the rest doing some small talks with the others (one of the guilty people here).
After the dinner, we proceeded to Café Shang for the real party!
As what we’ve always done when there’s a celebration, we had videoke! Yay!

Hand us the mikes, please!
CBS before the kiat videoke moments.
When we chose some disco songs, the kiat moments started! Let the good times roll! Muhahaha!
Some more CBS people came later.
After hours of constant singing, dancing, shouting, jumping, pushing, playing, teasing, kiliging (hahaha), we had the exchange of gifts!
It wasn’t an ordinary Kris Kringle where you get to know the person who’s gonna get your gift beforehand. So all our gifts had to be some unisex stuff.
We drew lots to determine whose gifts we’re gonna get (yeah, the other way around). Agnes got my gift, which was a snow globe (one of my countless favorite things in the world).
I got Ms. Ren‘s. And one of the things in the bag was an umbrella!
Good thing I didn’t buy a new one after I lost mine some weeks ago! Heee. Thank you, Ms. Ren!
The shindig resumed after everyone got his/her gift and showed a smile on the face. Weeeee!
After all the ridiculous songs we sang and danced to, we still ended the party with a very beautiful Christmas song — Christmas in Our Hearts by Jose Mari Chan.
The room was suddenly full of Christmas greetings and sweet hugs!
It was a wonderful moment. And the marvel didn’t end until we all went home at around 1am.
Aaawww.
You could really feel the love, friendship, unity, and all the likes in the air! I love you, CBS!
Thanks for the totally amazing night! It’s gonna be one of my most unforgettable Christmas celebrations ever. You rock!

We’re not complete in this picture. But I swear, we’re a crowd! Thanks to Sinjin for this pic. (I’m still waiting for our complete family pic out there.)

The live puppet show reminds me of the same show we did last Dec 16th! Hahaha. Wala rin akong luck sa raffle, bes, so you’re not alone! Why do I have a feeling na cute yung umbrella? Hehe. You’re enjoying their company so much. Maganda yan~

Oh, I miss being a kid. I remember when I was a preschooler, we had a field trip in Manila and watched a puppet show. It was a lot of fun, haha!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
