2009 – The Year That Was
It has been a great Ox year for me, and I can’t believe how time flew so fast. 
Though it already sank into me that I wrote my 2008 – The Year That Was entry exactly a year ago, reminiscing my experiences this year made me say to myself, “It seems like it’s only yesterday.” 
And one of the things that made my 2009 so awesome is the fact that I had tons of firsts this year! 
You’ll know to whom I owe a lot of those experiences after the meat of this entry.

January
- Jan. 4 – My first short hairstyle after how many years. New year’s look!
- Jan. 16 – My first henna tattoo. For Sinulog ’09.
- Jan. 28 – My first time in Starbucks. It was Jessa‘s birthday treat to D’ Hacienderas!
- Jan. 30 – My first time to taste Alberto’s Pizza. Lyn’s birthday treat to D’ Hacienderas!
February
- Feb. 21 – My first in Paul-Yu, Shemberg, Danao Paper Mill, and Danao Sugar Mill for our Industrial Processes Tour.
- Feb. 24 – My first time in CSCST (now CTU) for the IE Sports Fest.
- Feb. 25 – My first sneakers I bought with my own money.
- Feb. 27 – My first time to taste Da Vinci’s Pizza. Aimee‘s birthday treat to D’ Hacienderas!
March
- Mar. 12 – My first time to dress like a kid in my teenage years for Shalee‘s kiddie-themed birthday party!
- Mar. 26-27 – My first time in Luisa’s Place, Argao for our CCLeaDS (also my first time joining this kind of LTS).
- Mar. 28-29 – My first time in Victoria Hard Rock Resort, San Remigio for an outing with my mom’s colleagues.
April
- Apr. 4 – My first meeting with the Cebu Bloggers Society.
- Apr. 15 – My first laptop — Shadow! Aw. Hahaha.
- Apr. 18 – My first bonding time with CBS!
Major love! One of the highlights of my summer. Hehehe. 
- Apr. 25 – My first time at Max’s Restaurant. Lunch out with CBS!
- Apr. 30 – My first time to taste Gelatissimo! Aimee’s treat!
May
- May 16 – My first time to set foot in Maribago Bluewater!
- May 23-24 – My first fever blisters with CBS (yeah, those effin’ facial wounds I had) during the overnight videoke at McBilly’s house. Hahahaha.
- May 28 – My first time at La Maison during the Yehey.com meet-up.
June
- Jun. 6 – My first time at Clado‘s residence to shoot a crazy video! Yeko Ar!
- Jun. 11 – My first time to meet Mar Roxas in person!
- Jun. 12 – My first time to taste Mamma Maria’s Pizza! It was during their opening.
- Jun. 20 – My first time at a cosplay event (as one of the media, not as a cosplayer). This was during the Hobby Convention.
- Jun. 27 – My first time to sing at a birthday party (debut)!
July & August
- Jul. 10 – My first time to taste Calda Pizza! Jo’s birthday treat to D’ Hacienderas!
- Aug. 1 – My first time to set foot in Sumilon Bluewater!
- Aug. 7-8 – My first time at the UP grounds during the UP Cookout ’09.
- Aug. 14 – My first time at Pristina North (AboitizLand). I dream to live there someday! Hahahaha.
- Aug. 21 – My first time on a Cebu heritage tour with video shoot!
- Aug. 22 – My first time to enjoy the wonders of Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel (my first time to set foot in there was actually last Jun. 23). It’s also the first (and last) IE Acquaintance Party that I organized.
September, October, November, & December
- Sep. 5 – My first time at the Kenneth Cobonpue Furniture Showroom. Too bad Mr. Kenneth wasn’t there. Hehehe.
- Oct. 12 – My first time at Let’s Paint in SM. End-of-sem treat!
- Nov. 27 – My first differently memorable birthday. Hahaha. And it’s my first line-of-2 year (I turned 20).
- Dec. 6 – My first time to get a body massage at Hapuhap Wellness Spa.
- Dec. 18 – My first time at Don Henrico’s for D’ Hacienderas’ Christmas celebration.
- Dec. 22 – My first Christmas celebration with CBS!
Hahaha. Wala lang. It’s still a first.

Last year (and the years before that), my life was only revolving around home and school. Now, I have a social life. Hahaha. And I owe it all to the Cebu Bloggers Society. Without them, I couldn’t imagine what my 2009 would have been. Totally different, I could say. 
My entry wouldn’t end without me expressing my gratitude and dramatic whatnots to the people who are dearest to me, and that includes D’ Hacienderas and CBS. But since I’ve already done the major part of it in my Christmas entry, I would just state here the three most important messages I want them to know:
I AM SORRY for all the wrongs I’ve done, the faults I’ve committed, and the things I should’ve done or you expected me to do but I didn’t do. 
I know I’ve disappointed a lot of you, but as much as I would’ve wanted to please everybody (yeah, I’m a people-pleaser), I just can’t. I hope you’d still accept me the way I am. 
THANK YOU for every little and big thing you’ve done for me! 
It makes my heart swell to think how an ordinary person like me deserved (or so I think) your extraordinary deeds. I wish I could repay all of you someday. 
I LOVE YOU for everything you all are and despite all your flaws. 
As what they say, nobody is perfect. I just want to let you all know that no matter who you are, there will always be people who will love you, and that includes me. 
Of course, without having to say it, my family and, most of all, God will always be a part of my life. They’ve been there even before I came out to this world.
I still have loads and loads of things to say (as usual) but I’ll just reserve it for another dramatic entry. A year-opener, perhaps? Nya.
To all of you people, Happy New Year! May you own the incoming year of the Tiger!
