Plants vs. Zombies

Remember my post about my favorite PopCap games? It’s gonna be an updated list now.
It’s actually from Ate Tin that I first knew about this game.
I didn’t try it yet as I was kind of close at that time. Or maybe I was just too absorbed with the current PopCap games in my laptop.
But when I saw how the game was actually played (some people in school play them), I got curious.
I wanted to try it to see how I’d do with it. And voila! I got instantly addicted to it!
If it weren’t for school stuff, I would’ve finished everything in lesser time. But I was busy. So I finished the adventure mode in many days. Hehehe.
Spoiler alert! Don’t proceed if you don’t want the game to be spoiled. Duh.
Let me just give you a little walkthrough of the game. I just feel like making a petty review about it.

That’s the main menu of the game. If it’s a new game, it would look pretty bare as other selections would not be available yet.
Main menu pa lang, win na! O ang babaw ko lang? Nyahahaha!

The adventure mode of the game wherein you will undergo five levels with ten sublevels each.
You get to select your plants before the battle begins.
Remember: choose your plants wisely and place them strategically. You’d end up spending a lot of suns
(like money) and using several land and water areas if you don’t know what plants to use. There will be a preview of the zombies that will attack your yard (and attempt to eat your brains) so you’d know what plants to carry. The catch: there’s only limited slots for your plants.
And oh, if it’s just the first run (new game), there won’t be a lot of plants yet. You get one after you pass a sublevel. And a lot of money goes with it!

Somewhere in the adventure part of the game, mini-games would be unlocked. The other mini-games would be unlocked if you get to pass or finish the other mini-games.
Plants would be provided in most of the mini-games so you don’t have to worry about choosing the right ones and spending some suns, though the others would just be like the adventure mode.

Just like the mini-games, the puzzles would be unlocked within the adventure. There are actually just two kinds of puzzles: the Vasebreaker and the I, Zombie.
The rest are just derivatives, which will be unlocked one after passing the other. This part’s pretty cool! As what puzzles are supposed to do, they challenge the brains! Though not really that hard. Hahaha.

Survival mode!
It’s just like the adventure mode except that you have to defend the yard for more flags, getting to choose different plants each time (you’ll get this once you play the game).
This isn’t a piece of cake. The zombies are stubborn. It’s as if they can’t be “depleted”! That’s why I’m still not done with it. Hahaha.

Crazy Dave would give the Almanac somewhere in the game.
There’s a page each for the plants and the zombies. It’s good to read everything here.
Aside from the fact that it gives information about the plants you’ve acquired and the zombies you’ve encountered (e.g., description, damage, toughness, special, etc.), it would also give you a nice little laugh! Or a hard one, depending on the vulnerability of your funny bone.
Me? Predictable. I bet anybody who heard me laugh would think I’m crazy.

The Zen Garden! It’s obviously obvious what it is. Hahaha.
But instead of the plant-it-on-the-ground kind of garden, you’re already given a pot with a planted seed on it (some you have to buy, others you get in mini-games, puzzles, and survival stages).
You only have to tend them, which means you have to buy what they ask for.
They’ll give you silver and gold coins in return. But you could sell them to Crazy Dave if you want. Hahaha.
Stinky the Snail collects the coins for me when I’m idling around or doing something else. But he/she/it sleeps at times. Err.
And oh, is there any way to rearrange my plants? They’re so scattered. Not so IE. Hahaha.
If there’s a way, then I’m yet to figure it out.

The Tree of Wisdom, when given enough care and attention, would give you some tips and secrets about the game. Just give it some food, and you’ll be best buds!

Crazy Dave’s Twiddy Dinkies! Twiddy dinkies, call ‘em, but the things found in Crazy Dave’s shop are very useful.
Seeds/plants, slots, garden needs — name them. You just have to prepare a lot of coins, though, as most of them are far from cheapies.
Oh yeah! After you finish the adventure mode, there’ll be a music video of the plants and the zombies (credits part). It’s a really cute one — worth watching!
I’m still saving up for the Mushroom Garden and the Aquarium Garden. Why’d you have to cost a lot of money?!
Play this game and you’ll never regret it! Go ahead and download it somewhere. Hahaha.
I downloaded the torrent so I didn’t have to pay for the full version. Hihihi.

Pagduwa ug survival mode nga hard para earn ug coins. Pagtanum ug daffodil and place a magnet shroom nga maka-absorb ug coins.. Golden shroom man guro ang name.. 2 rows of daffodils will do..
And yes, there’s a way to rearrange the plants.. just buy the gloves thingy from Crazy Dave.
