Let’s Paint the Town Red

Disclaimer: Don’t take the title too seriously or dramatically. This isn’t a bloodbath.

When challenges in school were at its peak (or shall I say bottom?), all we ever wanted was for all of them to end. Scholastic requirements popping out successively, and even simultaneously, were just too much to bear (especially to the unprepared). Or am I just exaggerating? :x To some, maybe I am. But to the Industrial Engineering students of the University of San Carlos who had to face the challenges brought to us by Operations Management, Ergonomics, Statistical Quality Control, Operations Research 2, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology, it may well be just an understatement. :ugh: Okay, enough about the argument. We all differ, that’s all. :sweatdrop:

October 12, 2009 marked the beginning of our semestral break. After our last exam in the afternoon, which happened to be our final exam in Operations Management, I literally shouted sighed for joy! :kyaa: At last, all the burden’s gone! For now. We are yet to know our final grades in our major (and minor) subjects. :sweatdrop2: We’re all hoping to pass. Who isn’t? As for me, I’m not expecting to be part of the Dean’s List this sem. :( I have to admit that I lacked effort. I’ve allowed too many things, tangible and intangible, to get the better of me. :ouch: Generally, though I didn’t flunk my exams (well, except for two, with 60-65% passing grade), I didn’t get very high scores either. Or whatever. I still wasn’t motivated at that time. I only got the “IE spirit” during the last weeks of classes. So now, all I’m hoping for is that I’ll pass all my subjects and get qualified for the next semester. I do hope my friends will still be with me. :)

I Miss Being a Couch Potato

A long time ago, when I was still a kid, we used to watch a lot of cartoon shows and anime because of cable TV. We would just eat our meals in front of the TV most of the time! The mania would’ve been worse if it was Direct TV we’re having. I bet we wouldn’t even have time to prepare our meals! Hahaha. Yeah, that’s how powerful TV was to us. :D

But ever since we lost cable TV, let alone Direct Satellite TV, I haven’t been updated with what’s the latest on TV anymore. Lame, I know. However, my life’s not that boring. You see, when I’m not in school, I spend most of my time in front of my laptop. I surf away, not even bothering to do other productive things. But I still think about what it would’ve been like if I followed a lot of series on [cable] TV and actually getting addicted to it. Maybe it would be like having Direct TV in New York? Or cable TV in some other place? Hahaha. It would just be a dream for now. I still need something to slap me back to reality… and what’s in. :P
