Push the Limit
ASUS Ultimate Overclocking Show 2009, the first ever overclocking show in the country, was held last Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the SM Entertainment Plaza around 2pm. The Cebu Bloggers Society was invited as press, and we were happy to oblige.
The two teams that were competing for different categories were the Cebu Xtream and the Sugbu Elite.
While the overclocking of the systems was done, the host was asking the audience some random questions which were worth some prizes. Those who posed relevant questions to the host were also given something.
It was like another competition for the fastest thinker and the fastest runner. Hehehe.
The winners for the different categories of the competition were announced and awarded as follows:
Highest CPU MHz Intel: Sugbu Elite
Highest CPU MHz AMD: Cebu Xtream
Highest Bclock AMD or Intel: Sugbu Elite
Highest Super PI Intel: Cebu Xtream
Highest Super PI AMD: Sugbu Elite
Highest Memory Speed: Cebu Xtream
Highest 3DMark Vantage score in the Overclocked system ATI: Sugbu Elite
Highest 3DMark Vantage score in the Overclocked system NVIDIA: Cebu Xtream
It’s a competition, so it always ends this way: there’s a winner, there’s a loser. But in every competition, what really matters is how the game is played, or how the act is performed. As long as you did your best and you know you fought fair and square, everything’s alright.
