Nury Vittachi
If you’re fond of reading Reader’s Digest (Asia), you probably know Nury Vittachi. Or not.
He’s the author of the Unbelievable! section of RD Asia. I think the column started last September 2008 (the time RD had its new look).
Anyway, Nury Vittachi’s column is one of the things that I look forward to reading every month (ever since it started) when we get our copy of RD. His writing skill is to die for! Nyahahaha. Or is it just me?
Really, when I read his articles, I can’t help but think, “Whoah, is this guy human?”
Okay, stop the exaggeration. But kidding aside, he does write well.
The way he chooses his words — just incredible! He doesn’t write in a formal or poetic style. Rather, he does it colloquially.
But the one thing that epitomizes everything I like about his writings is his curious antics!
There’s not a time when I read his writings that my mouth wouldn’t twitch and crack a smile! And at times, I would even laugh out loud! Shyet! Shame on me! Mahahahahahaha!
That’s all, really. I just wanted to share something about one of my idols. Hekhekhek.
Read his articles in RD if you want to know what I’m talking about. Or you could read The Curious Diary of Mr. Jam. It’s his blog. And it contains more insanity than you could ever imagine!
By the way, his target are the Asians. He talks about them a lot.
And his complete name is Nuryana Samjam Perera de Lacey Vittachi.

Guess what, you’ve got company.. Vittachi’s use of wit and humor is really impressive. his column, Unbelievable on RD Asia, never fails to amaze me. if only he could make a book compilation of all his UNBELIEVABLE article, i would surely be the first one to buy it on its release!
