So Confused
Hope you could read about my april blues. 
If you already did, then you know how badly I need money right now. 
In connection to that, there’s this one thing that’s confusing me at this time. It’s about monetizing this site… 
If you’re a close friend of mine, you’d know how I really don’t want my personal sites to be “tainted” with advertisements. 
Before, since Animik was my personal blog, I didn’t want it to bear advertisements. But ever since I had iFancy.Me and it became my personal blog, I’ve been using Animik to make money online. The downside is that Animik’s traffic had gone down already since I focused more on iFancy.Me, so I haven’t had many sponsored tasks to do. 
Now, iFancy.Me’s PR and traffic (Alexa rank) have increased just when I needed money the most. See the connection? High PR and traffic = more opportunities. 
That’s why I’m so confused right now, and I need your opinions to help me with this one. I know the final decision is still mine to make. But I still want to know what you’ve got to say about this one. 
Here are some of the options I’m thinking about right now:
- Monetize iFancy.Me! But it would defeat my no-advertisements-for-personal-sites principle.
- Initiate a temporary blog leave at iFancy.Me and focus more on Animik. Unfortunately, I don’t want to leave iFancy.Me naman!
And even if I do leave iFancy.Me temporarily, Animik’s traffic won’t increase unless people would cooperate. 
- Stay as is. Still blog in iFancy.Me and Animik. Divide attention. But nothing’s gonna happen. Grrr.
So, what’s it gonna be? Should I let my pride rule over? Or should I give practicality a chance?

Ate Mik, if you really need money, I say you can sacrifice iFancy.me. Hehe. You can ask naman people in the internet (like Ate She, for example) how she maintained Pinkista.net’s PR 3 even though she has so many SP’s and such na.
Then, if you have a money na. You can move back to iFancy.me. (make Animik your personal blog for the mean time) hehehe.

Sacrifice iFancy bes. Kung kaylangan mo talaga ng money, kaylangan talagang may isacrifice ka at eto na yun since iFancy has better stats.
Kung ako lang din, I’ll better leave dressydoll though irerenew ko pa rin sya. But I’ll focus more to DHD. Ikaw ewan ko sayo, pero kung ganyan situation ko, ganun gagawin ko.

If you really need money badly, then why don’t you use iFancy for Sponsored Posts? Tip: Kapag gagawa ka ng Sponsored Posts write them as pages not posts, so people won’tknow that your monetizing this blog. tska, advertisers won’t suspect kasi usapan write a review lang eh. :)) That’s what I do. :))
Basta kasi may new domain, nagsasaya ka na sa luma eh.

Talaga? ‘Di rin bababa yung PR if gagawing pages yung reviews? Diba ganun yun minsan, when Google knows about your SP’s, gagawin nilang 0 yung PR. Hmmm. Nice idea yan bro ahh! Thanks ha! Baka ganyanin ko na rin style ko. Hehehe.

Alam mo ba, may shashare ULIT ako. :)) Sorry kung ginawa na nating YM to ate ah? :)) HAHA.
Yung PayPerPost lang tlga na SPs nagpapababa ng PageRank, Promise! Yung sa PPP kasi may “nofollow” yung links nila. So, talagang bumababa PR. Pero in Blogsvertise, B2P, Payu2blog and other SP site, hindi bababa PR mo kasi, normal A HREF lang naman yun. And, Di naman malalaman ni Google Bot (Yung machine na nagcocompute ng updates mo / Pagerank) Kung SP ba o hindi without the “nofollow” tag eh. Mababasa lang niya yung SPs mo as ordinary posts. In my case, kaya bumaba PR kasi, hindi nko nakapagbloghop at kumonti yung visitors.
Effective yung pages, promise! :)) Try it. Kikita ka kagad. HAHA. Basta, English blog higher PR. — Sabi ng Google. :)) Pero, di ren eh! :))

nako sis! dito ako expert! lol, though I have 3 sites. namomonetize ko talaga yung dazzling-notes and yourpaperdoll ko, kahit naloloka ako kakablog hop at kakalagay ng iba ibang sites sa mga tagboards at comments, aun okay naman sila! If I were you ganon din gagawin ko.

hindi YPD lans sis. pero yung dazzling-notes ko sa blogsvertise naman active kaya pareho talaga silang namomonetize. Actually mga 4-5 times akong nag apply sa Payu2blog pinilit ko talagang ma accept. lol!, yung dazzling-notes ko, 2 times ko ng inapply di paren natatanggap! hihi.. kaw saan kapa nagmomonetize?

Blogsvertise & sponsoredreviews lang mostly sis. Pero ngayon, wala na akong natatanggap na tasks. Waaahhh! I really need to work on my traffic & PR! Bumaba kasi naging busy sa skul eh.

In my opinion sis, I think you should give practicality a chance kasi diba you really need money naman. O kaya gawin mo na lang alternate, post ka nung kailangan mong iadvertise then after nun yung personal activites mo naman. Sayang naman kasi kung ito na yung imo-monitize mo eh nasanay na yung mga readers mo na dun sa Animik ka lang nagpopost ng mga advertisements.
Pero depende pa rin naman sa decision mo yan

it is really hard to maintain the traffic ranks when u have more than one blog, isn’t it sis? I am having such a prob on my oder site toO, my traffic before was down to 300k and now it’s back to 600=( Well i bet it’s that hard. Good luck sis on ur websites.. I have been planning to get a new domain toO for my MONTZING only…
OH well, about the question u’ve ask sis,
the guy who pay me $140 it’s for advertsing thingy, LINK TXT ADS for a year, but they were lOoking for a blog who has a pretty good amouunt of U.K visitoRs,let me know how many u.k visitors u have here sis, maybe I can help u

you can divide time on both,, here’s a technique.. schedule theme like classes on college.. MW to one blog, TTh to the other.. 2-5hrs each,, depends on your availability to use the net..
I am actually trying to run 6 sites.. others don’t get much attention, but it’s all about discipline..
Just give a schedule,, it’s the best way.. ^^

I usually don’t like seeing sites crammed with advertisements, but I think if you had a few small ones, it wouldn’t be a big deal. You could also have people pay you to advertise on your site; I’ve seen some sites do that.

I want to earn money na rin nga eh haha.. DI naman yata baba pr mo if you make sp’s naman eh basta marami ka pa ring visitors everyday hehe . Go ate if you really need money , try muna mag SP’s.

For me, if you’re really really in need of money, go for monetizing this blog. Wala namang mawawala, mabbreak nga lang yung principle mo. But it’s just that, kapag maganda site traffics, mataas PR, more opportunities!
TIP: Ipaghalo na lang ang personal post sa paid posts so parang natural lang. No more double posting.

In your case, I think it is best to be business-minded. Since you say ifancy has the better status, I think you should sacrifice it for a while and monetize since it will earn you more. You could focus on Animik if you want, to improve its status. But devote your time to both. Maybe once you get the money you can afford to make this a nice clean personal blog again.

First time visitor here so my input probably doesn’t matter but…
If you’re going to use ads I would say to keep them minimal and not too flashy. Most people (including me) lose interest in sites with too many adverts and never come back, mainly because you see the objective isn’t the content anymore but to get paid.
I understand you can’t find a job, I myself am a full-time student at a private art college surviving solely on government aid, so I have to foot the bill for many things to cover for my tuition alone. I do freelance work online, why not give that a try? You’re site’s design is pretty decent and it makes more money than ads would give you in a month.

you might want to consider other sort of income other than blogging..try buy and sell during summer or selling halo2x or bbq in front of your house..i do these stuff before to keep my fun for the summer..i generate income pa on the side..

im sorry if this will not help much [due to im not really fond of earning money online] but I suggest that if you really need money that badly, then I think it’s time to sacrifice ifancy.me and then switch and concentrate to animik.. but its up to you, of course.. then when you’ve got already enough money, then divide the attention again to both sites and back to normal again!~ hihi
remember sissy mikss, People wont gain anything without sacrificing something –got that from some lines in an anime show lols x]

what if you focus muna sa Animik? it doesn’t mean naman na you leave iFancy dbah? for the mean lang naman sa animik.. then if you gain enough money na, go go go na naman sa ifancy

wala naman po masama kung pagsamahin mo dito sa ifancy mo ang review post at ang personal post mo, kasi kung magsasakrifice ka ng isang blog tapos imamaintain mo siya tapos gagawa ka ulit ng bago masasayang lang di ba. mas maganda kung pagsasamahin mo sis walang namang problema doon sis eh.

Hi sis! I’m sorry that you’re feeling confused on either using iFancy.me for $$$ or not, but you know..I think there’s always a compromise. For instance, you may only accept Sp0ns. links for your blogroll on iFancy.me and no Sp0ns. posts
That way, your entries would still be clean! And at the same time, schedule 2-3 topics to blog about on Animik every week, and blog about them, so that you have everything ready and you can keep up with both sites. Also, bloghop as MUCH as you can

Aww. We’re on the same boat. I have my x.prinsesa.net .. And I earned money using that but I want to have my personal blog that’s why I temporarily leave it muna. Aww tlga.
But in my opinion, sacrifice iFancy na nga, as sbi nga nila. Pay attention to Animik. Pag may enough money ka na, go to iFancy naman. Switch switch lang. ^^ Sorry if I can’t help too much. Complicated sis ee.
