CBS Camp-out

The overnight activity of the Cebu Bloggers Society was the best of my summer vacation, so far! A lot of things happened that I don’t even know where to start (perhaps, not literally)! Okay. So how am I supposed to put it? Hmmm. This time, I want to talk in details instead of pics (but the pics are here, here, here, and here). So please bear with me. Just a warning: don’t read if you’re not interested.

Yesterday afternoon, Monster Jorich, Master Clarence, and I met at SM for some “silly business”. Hahaha. Sorry for the term. After some time, we went to McDonald’s at JY Square Mall to meet up with the rest of the CBS members. It’s funny how I got along with the people almost immediately! I mean, they may not think so, but I do. Harharhar. Amazingly (?), I wasn’t that shy anymore even though I only met them once (during the 2nd CBS meeting for this year). Ganyan na lang ba kakapal yung mukha ko? ‘Di naman siguro. Maybe partly, but also because we’re already kind of close na sa Plurk eh. Am I right? Or correct? Hahahaha. Anyway, we had random talks over fries and ketchup. Some other members arrived later than us, and we were waiting for some more. We decided to go to the venue (Evanjohnn’s residence) already when everything was… set? Hihihi.

We prepared and settled our things at the gazebo and had some little rest. And the activities began. First was the getting-to-know-you-more part (yes, there’s “more” since we kind of know each other already). And I’m not gonna let this post pass without letting you know the people with me behind the activity. They’re Evanjohnn, Jorich, Bryan, Kai, Clarence, Tianexx, Aldwin, Empress, Mark, Miong, Ryan, Timoy, McBilly, and Atty. Ethelbert. The order is just according to the seating arrangement as I remember it. Hahahaha. Then, we were grouped into two. The hosts were Evanjohnn and Jorich. And the teams were the Papalicious team composed of McBilly, Bryan, Tianexx, Mark, Ryan, and Aldwin, and Nawangwang ni Papalicious team (hehehe, kayo na lang mag-translate ) (or simply, The WangWangs) composed of Atty. Ethelbert, Kai, Clarence, Timoy, Miong, Empress, and me. We had the taboo game. It’s kinda like charades but no actions, only words. The Papalicious team won this one. Bleh! The second game was the charades. This was kind of long. And really funny! I think everyone who attended would agree with me that two of the most memorable entries (or at least I think they were memorable) were the banana-Cornetto entry by Miong and the Sex-and-the-City entry by Atty. Ethelbert! This time, our team won! Weee! The next game was the pyramid making using plastic cups. We won again! Ahahaha. The last game was the get-the-can-to-the-goal game. Whatever. I don’t know what it’s called. Hehehe. Our team would’ve won, but the other team requested for a rematch because they lost. Wahahahaha! Joke. They won this game. After that, we had the chillax time. Some used the pool na, some went inside the house to have videoke, and some (including me) stayed at the gazebo and had an acoustic session. Mahahahaha. I went to join the videoke session later but didn’t stay long ‘coz Master Bryan and I went to join the pool session naman. Harz. And the long talks started. I actually loved this part ‘coz aside from the green and very corny jokes presented by the members, I was, like, amazed at the knowledge being brought out by the CBS people. I was listening intently ‘coz I love talks where I could learn. This was the longest session. We ended at almost 2am, I think? The wet people started to dry up and prepared for sleeping time. I didn’t feel sleepy yet, so some of the boys and I remained awake and had acoustic session na naman. When my eyes felt kinda heavy already, I lied down. But I wasn’t able to sleep immediately. I think my body was not yet set to rest (only my eyes). Plus, I was thinking about a lot of things. Random things. I was talking to myself in my head. I think I was able to sleep at 3:30am na. I didn’t feel very comfy with my sleeping position. I was lying perpendicular to the others’ position (at the feet part). It was very cold, and I only had my not-so-thick jacket (which I wore the other way around [frontside back?] to cover my face with the hood) to protect me from it. I actually brought a blanket, but I let my friends (Master Bryan, Tianexx, and Monster Jorich) use it beforehand. Aaawww. Hehehe. I woke up at around 5am. Whaaat?! Only 1.5 hours of sleep? Heh. I could pretty much say I’m used to that already. And the moment I was readying myself for the morning, the coldness hit me like a bird poo. And I was shivering. My teeth were chattering. My lips were red. I needed warmth! That’s why as soon as everyone was awake and my blanket was free, I immediately grabbed it and wrapped it around my feet. The next moment, I was hugging my blanket because I felt really cold! Waaahhh! There was a chillax time again since everyone was awake at around 5:30am. I helped Evanjohnn, President Mark, Monster Jorich, and Master Clarence prepare our breakfast. We ate while talking, talked while eating, whichever came first. After that, we had Suroy-suroy sa Busay (term coined by Atty. Ethelbert). Hahahaha. We were just walking around Evanjohnn’s area. We went through steep paths, and eventually, we got tired. Good thing we were able to have soft drinks (special thanks to Atty. Ethelbert for the Sparkle treat!) and water from some generous stranger’s home. The way back was more challenging because we were going uphill. I was kind of panting already when we got back to Evanjohnn’s house. That was our ending activity. We then prepared for our departure. My money was not enough to go home after the contribution was collected. I was silly for forgetting to ask for extra money from my mom or withdraw from my ATM account. Fortunately, like an angel sent from heaven (do I deserve a treat here? ), Atty. Ethelbert came to my rescue again! Waaahhh! Thank youuu a lot, Atty.! We all went home after a few announcements from Evanjohnn and some farewell chuchu’s from us. Master Bryan, President Mark, and I went home together. I mean we rode the same jeepney. Hehehe. As if I was very full of energy, I was talking all the way from SM to Consolacion. Master Bry and Pres. Mark, if you got tired of listening to me, please tell me now so that I won’t do it again… NOT! Mahahahahaha. And that’s the end.

If you read the whole post, I know you could say I had a lot of fun. I did! Even learned! A lot, indeed! That was really a perfect bonding activity! Swear! It would’ve been better if a lot of CBS members were able to join. Though maybe I was kinda annoying already because of my being noisy and my pronunciation-and-grammar-judgment (sorry guys, it’s just me), I absolutely didn’t regret joining this activity! I sure hope there’d be more to come!
